For this piece I was inspired by some mounts in world of warcraft, I decided to follow a design similar to a Chimera where it’s a mixture of creatures. Originally, the limbs were going to be tiger like, however the bird feet felt more in tune with the whole design. I want the creature to be able to rideable, so I was careful to add joint positions that allowed it.

The skin is referenced from a snake, with the scale design flowing towards the back of the creature. This was primarily to emphasize the mixture of animals, while not straying too far from its primary purpose.
